Years of downloads, scattered everywhere? Point the organizer at the folder where they live, and it sorts everything by grade, subject and skill. Start with 72 real files downloaded from TPT, or try a folder from your own computer.
72 files (5.4 GB) from a real TPT “Homeschool” collection: 6 sellers, downloaded straight into a folder with no sorting.
Pick your Downloads folder or any folder of teaching files. The organizer sorts that folder right on your computer: files are moved, never copied or deleted, and Undo puts everything back. Nothing is uploaded.
Each file goes through fixed rules: its name, the file names inside each ZIP, then keywords from the first PDF pages. If nothing matches, the teacher picks the tags once, and every teacher with the same file gets them.
Lesson Genie moves files into folders the teacher can open and recognize. Nothing is copied or deleted, and every move is logged so it can be undone.
How this demo works. The sample uses the real names of the 72 downloaded files and of the files inside each ZIP. Where a name didn’t settle the tags, the demo uses only the keywords found in the first PDF pages, not the sellers’ text. When you pick your own folder, names and ZIP contents are read in this tab and PDF pages are skipped. In Chrome, Edge and on Chromebooks the organizer really moves the files in that folder and saves a move log (“_Lesson Genie move log.json”) inside it, so Undo works even after you close this page. Other browsers show the sorted result without changing anything. In the finished feature, files also move inside Google Drive, OneDrive or Dropbox, and tagging costs nothing per use.
